    2. Travel Guidelines and Information: 

    Updated 25th March 2021Please follow the following guidelines from the authorities if you wish to leave the UAE during school vacations.
    • All Students and staff must complete the SISD Parent/Staff Declaration.
    • Along with the Parent Declaration, students must either provide a negative PCR test result or quarantine at home.
    • All Students and Staff must declare recent travel history.
    A) All Students and staff must complete the SISD Parent/Staff Declaration.
    • The link is sent to you via email.
    • Every parent must complete the SISD Parent Declaration before school starts.
    • Not completing the form will mean that your child will not be allowed in school.

    B) Along with the Parent Declaration, students must either provide a negative PCR test result or quarantine at home.

    Negative PCR test 
    • Provide the School with a negative PCR test for your child (and each of your children).
    • The test must be done after arrival, in a Dubai airport or in a DHA approved laboratory.
    • Overseas tests done prior to the flight in the country of travel are not accepted.
    • Students will not be allowed to attend school without first submitting to school a copy of their negative PCR test results (obtained no earlier than 48 hours before their return to school)
    • Please send the PCR test result to health@sisd.ae after filing the Travel Declaration
    • If your child is undergoing or awaiting a PCR test, please keep him / her and all siblings at home until the result is out and shared with the Health Team.

    Quarantine

    • If you do not wish to have your child undergo a PCR test on arrival, you can choose to keep your child in quarantine for 10 days.
    • Please email health@sisd.ae detailing your choice for quarantine following travel.
    • Your child can then join school on the 11thday of quarantine
    C) All Students and Staff must declare recent travel history.
    • Fill the DHA Travel & Health Declaration Form for your child, (and each of your children separately) on your return and before your child resumes the school.
    • You can find the form here, or with the SISD Parent Declaration.
    • Put health@sisd.aeas the school’s email.

    Oxbridge Week

    SISD will be hosting three Oxbridge virtual events throughout this week:Monday 22nd March, 5:30-6:30pm: Aspiring to Oxbridge TalkZoom Link: https://zoom.us/j/95592935161?pwd=WlU3MDdvS1NodVErZWFNcFFYRnNLdz09“Aspiring to Oxbridge”, the session delivered by Alicia Luba, is an introductory presentation designed for students and their parents from Year 9 upwards. During this presentation, Alicia will be addressing key points such as who should consider applying, how to apply, and the process from initially considering Oxbridge all the way through to the interviews themselves. Alicia will share her own experience both as an Oxford undergraduate and now for the past five years as an admissions consultant. The presentation will cover the different entry requirements, the college system, pooling, the strategy behind choosing the right course and the different admissions tests students need to sit in advance.SPEAKER’S PROFILE:ALICIA LUBA - CONSULTANCY DIRECTOR AT OXBRIDGE APPLICATIONSAlicia holds a first-class degree in English Literature from St Hilda’s College Oxford and also an MA in Shakespeare from Kings College, London. She has been consulting with students, schools and parents for Oxbridge Applications since 2013, specialising in the Arts and Humanities subjects. She regularly takes on her own Premier Service students as well as conducting the initial Private Consultations in the London office or around the globe. He was also part of the Cambridge International Global Recognitions team for two years, leading work with universities in the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands. Prior to joining Cambridge International in 2018, Roshan worked as a Student Recruitment Manager and Higher Education Adviser at the University of East Anglia.
