A true Florida girl, born and raised in the sunshine state, I have been teaching in the U.S. for nearly a decade. I graduated from The Florida State University and began my teaching career as a middle school teacher. Soon after, I attended The University of North Florida to obtain my master’s in Special Education. Immediately following graduation, I moved to New York City and taught in charter schools there, as well as, Washington D.C.
I consider myself a global citizen, and as such, I can’t think of any better way to move about the globe than sharing my passion and enthusiasm for literacy and learning. It is a personal mission of mine to do what I can to ensure that each child has an opportunity to successfully complete college. I now bring this passion with me abroad and couldn’t be happier to join SISD. My hobbies include reading, writing, watching TV/movies with my two cats, yoga, and traveling to new places.
