Helping young people develop to go on to positively impact not only the communities they live in, any organisation or culture they are a part of in the future, and indeed the world at large is a phenomenal privilege and responsibility. This is why I am educator and why I am proud to be a member of a school where this is front and centre for every student, every day. After eight years as a successful Operations Manager for a top five U.K. bank, I followed my passion for helping others develop and re-trained as a History teacher. After qualifying in 2010, I taught for four years in one of the top ten most deprived boroughs of the U.K, gaining invaluable pastoral and academic experience in incredibly challenging socio-economic circumstances. I subsequently moved into the international education sector, teaching at a premium Dubai school for seven years. I successfully held a range of leadership positions, including Assitant Head of House, Head of History and Coordinator of Thoery of Knoweldge. Over the past five years I have also worked closely with Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Project Zero, focusing on creating sustainable Communities of Innovation dedicated to developing students’ mindsets, skills and abilities to thrive in increasingly digital and interconnected learning environment.
