From a young age, growing up in Ireland, I always wanted to be a teacher as I enjoyed interacting with children. Completing a work placement in my local primary school confirmed this ambition as I found the experience so rewarding and enjoyable. After finishing secondary school I moved to Scotland and graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2015 with an MA in Education and completed my first teaching post at a primary school in Edinburgh. In 2019 I moved to Hong Kong to teach at an IB Early Years School. This was a fantastic experience which further encouraged me to continue teaching internationally.
I am very excited about moving to Dubai and delighted to be working at SISD – a hugely diverse school which offers their learners endless opportunities for both academic and lifelong success. I aim to provide my students with a safe and nurturing learning environment that promotes enjoyment, curiosity and progression, all of which I believe contribute to the development of successful and confident individuals.
I enjoy team sports, hiking and travelling in my spare time. I can’t wait to experience so many of the amazing opportunities that Dubai has to offer.
