PRIMARY TEACHER GRADE 2
MOTTO:

“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” – Albert Einstein

I am from Liverpool (UK) and hold a First-Class Honours Primary Teaching degree, specialising in Mathematics and Subject Leadership. During my degree, I studied in America for a semester and experienced teaching in two elementary schools in Michigan. Whilst studying, I worked as a Carer Support Worker looking after children with a range of complex care needs, which lead to my passion for inclusive education. For 4 years, I taught in Liverpool before moving to Dubai in 2014. During the 8 years I’ve been teaching in Dubai, I’ve been extremely privileged to teach numerous students from a range of culturally diverse backgrounds.

I have high expectations of every child I teach and provide them with a safe, enjoyable, healthy environment in which they can achieve. I create a positive and welcoming classroom environment so that children can become active learners, collaborate with peers and carry out meaningful tasks.

Outside of school I enjoy meditation, mindfulness, theatre productions and live music. I am an avid reader who loves attending Emirates Literature Festival events. As a keen traveller who has been fortunate enough to visit all 7 continents, I am passionate about inspiring my students to become responsible global citizens.
