I grew up in the UK and after completing my degree at The University of Edinburgh, I had a career in marketing before I made the decision to train as a teacher. Working in a diverse and multicultural school in London formed the foundation of my teaching career before I moved to the UAE to teach in Dubai. I am excited to join the SISD community and be part of a school that embraces diversity, multiculturalism and bilingualism.
In my twelve years of teaching I have never stopped learning and believe teachers model lifelong learning to students, including demonstrating how to develop key skills alongside academic achievement. As such, my holistic approach to education promotes wellbeing and positive mental health and I strive to empower children to embrace their true authentic self.
I love exploring the world and have been fortunate to travel extensively and learn about new cultures, most recently visiting Colombia and Sri Lanka. Tasting food from around the world is almost a hobby, which I enjoy alongside visiting galleries or exhibitions and embracing what the region has to offer.
