Jamal Alhalabi

ARABIC A&B TEACHER
MOTTO:

Born and raised in Lebanon and Syria, my education allowed me to fuse my interest for Arabic Literature and my teaching skills. Where I come from, a teacher is considered to be one of the most valued careers. I earned a BA in Arabic Literature and a Masters in Arabic Poetry. Since then, I have enjoyed every moment of teaching Arabic language for Arabic and none Arabic speakers in Kuwait and the UAE. I strongly believe that the acquisition of more than one language enriches personal growth and helps to facilitate international understanding. Reading, volleyball and theater are what I do best when I am not in a classroom.

A passionate traveler, lover of all things organized, literature major and media/events attendee; I believe in promoting well-rounded individuals both inside and outside the classroom. SISD is about coming together and forging a new identity as a school community in Dubai; whilst enjoying the perks of top class facilities, highly-experienced staff, modern technologies and a warm, welcoming environment. As a member of the SISD team, my goal is to ensure that students feel safe and supported at all times. During lessons, I aim to ensure that students learn at a pace that meets their individual needs, as well as allowing them to make connections with content and their everyday lives.
