Morna McDonald

I grew up in Dubai as an expat and I know what it is like to be a student in this dynamic multicultural city that provides unique learning opportunities to both children and adults. After completing my degree and professional experience in the UK, it was clear that I wanted to return to the UAE.
I attended the University of Central Lancashire, graduating with a degree in acting. After this I received a scholarship to study voice and theatre in France with Linda Wise and Enrique Pardoe’s Pan Theatre. After graduating I went on to tour with some of Scotland’s leading children’s theatre companies, taking theatre productions and workshops across the country to hundreds of schools and working with thousands of students. This sparked my love of working with young people and teaching felt like a natural progression from theatre in education. I have taught secondary drama in Dubai for four years whilst maintaining my own interest in the performing arts and producing my own work in my free time. Other passions include traveling the world and sports.
I am looking forward to developing and nurturing the artistic talent amongst the school community and producing fantastic theatre events at SISD.
