Mesmerized by the beauty of written words and countless ways they can be put together, I embarked on a journey of reading and learning languages, and became fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, and French. This passion took me to the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, Serbia, where I graduated in English Language and Literature followed by Master of Science Degree in Journalism, Faculty of Political Sciences. Wishing to combine literature and journalism, my Master thesis focused on the analysis of literary reviews in the print media. The love for languages inspired me to travel and I have had the chance to discover various cultures and visit more than eighty countries always carrying a few books in my suitcase. I have enjoyed teaching languages to students from different countries and backgrounds and learnt how to adapt to various types of students and spark their interests. All of these lessons have enabled me to improve my teaching competencies and have significantly enriched my experience.
Excited about the prospect of gaining new experience and guided by the Latin proverb – Docendo discimus – by teaching, we learn; I look forward to becoming part of the dynamic learning environment in SISD.
