After graduating from university in the UK with a degree in Government and Sociology, I had the amazing opportunity to work for a local government organisation which focused on helping some of the most vulnerable women and their children in society to access education. This interest led to me pursuing a career in Primary Education and studying for my PGCE.
My teaching career began in 1999 and I have taught right across each of the year groups in the primary phase. I have also held various positions of responsibility, some of which have included, Lead for Environment and Sustainability, Enrichment, Science, PHSE and Creative Curriculum, Head of Year 5 and Head of Year 4.
It was always wanted to teach in an International setting, so in 2009, I moved to the UAE with my three children from the UK. We have enjoyed every moment of living here and have made many happy memories. I have loved the experience of teaching in three unique school settings in Dubai. SISD being my fourth, where I look forward to continuing my teaching journey of supporting student to fulfil their potential, passions and dreams. In my free time, I love travelling, reading and expressing my creativity through pottery and interior design. I always aim to broaden my knowledge and experience of the world so that my learning also serves as a window to the world for the students that I teach.
