PRIMARY TEACHER GRADE 1
MOTTO:

“Every child deserves a champion: an adult who will never give up on them and insists they become the best they possibly can be” – Rita Pierson

I grew up in Scotland and studied for my Bachelor of Education at the University of Glasgow. During this time I travelled to Malawi to teach in a government school, which was such an enriching experience.  It was this that sparked my love of travelling and realising that teaching could take me all over the world.

I have lived in the UAE for four years and have had such a diverse experience teaching, first in Ras Al Khaimah and then in Dubai.  I am looking forward to working in Swiss International as I feel the school aligns with my teaching values of ensuring children are at the heart of the learning process, whist placing importance on developing each child’s personal academic, social and emotional skills and knowledge.  Through the IB curriculum, SSID ensure that children are inspired to become lifelong learners and global thinkers.

In my free time I enjoy walking and playing badminton.  I have really enjoyed living in Dubai as it has been a great base to travel and learn more about different languages and cultures.
