I am Timothy Corpuz, a qualified SENCo and learning support/SEN teacher. I hold a postgraduate degree in Special Education Needs Coordination from Leeds Beckett University in the UK. I also completed my bachelor degree in Education major in English at Philippine Normal University.
Working in the education field for 10 years, I have develop a love and passion for teaching. Recently, I have worked as a learning support teacher/case manager for 2 years (PYP) and 5 years as a teaching assistant (PYP) at Gems World Academy-Dubai. I also taught grades 1 to 8 for 3 years in the Philippines.
My vision is to ensure the best educational outcomes for all students in order to develop a love of learning, personal confidence, independence and achieve their fullest potential. I believe that all students possess an innate ability to learn and as an educator, I play a key role in identifying individual needs and responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment for all students to be successful. I aspire to enable my students to become empowered and lifelong learners by valuing their individual strengths and to enable each student to become independent who can advocate for themselves.
My interests include health and fitness, photography & video editing, traveling, singing and playing guitar, painting & drawing, meeting new people, and learning about new cultures and traditions.
