Viktoria is a teacher with 27 years of experience in the field. She holds a M.Phil. degree in English Language and Literature and a UK Qualified Teacher’s Status. In the past, Viktoria ran a Cambridge English (ESOL) exams centre for school children wishing to receive world recognised qualifications in English language competence, as well as taught Russian as a First Language as a part of International Baccalaureate curriculum. After university graduation Viktoria took part in numerous professional development courses organised by the British Council, which inspired her to take a teaching at international schools career. Her recent jobs involved delivery of MYP and DP classes along with some pastoral duties in boarding in private schools in Asia and Europe. Having grown up in a bilingual community and being able to speak 3 languages fluently herself, she has become a great believer in the importance of speaking more than one language as it broadens one’s mind and horizons. Therefore, SISD with its focus on bilingualism is seen by her as a great place to work at. Apart from teaching Viktoria takes great interest in reading, zumba and hiking. Viktoria also loves travelling and exploring other countries and cultures. She has two internationally minded children, one of which is already an IB graduate.
