HEAD OF inclusion
MOTTO:

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”- Nelson Mandela

With over 11 years’ experience within Education and over 8 years Leadership Experience; I am very excited to join the team at SISSD. I graduated from University College Cork, Ireland with a B.A in English and Politics. It is from there that I went on to complete my PGCE with a University in the U.K, gaining Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).

After teaching for a couple of years, I found my true passion was Inclusion. I am passionate that every child, at every level succeeds and makes progress on a daily basis, despite their barriers to learning. As educators, it is our responsibility to provide a holistic and inclusive environment whereby children can take risks, and not just survive, but thrive within their school environment and beyond. I will continue to be an advocate for Students of Determination within each new role I undertake throughout my career.

I have successfully led Inclusion Departments in two well known, British Curriculum, Outstanding Dubai Schools and I have been an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team. I look forward to joining the Early Years Leadership Team at SISSD as Deputy Head.

In my personal life, I am passionate about health and well-being. I have recently completed by Yoga Teacher Training through East London School of Yoga and I am an advocate for living a healthy life through exercise, plant-based foods and meditation.
