Kristine Bermundo

LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT (INCLUSION)
MOTTO:

” Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller

I’m Kristine Barquilla-Bermundo, I hail from the Philippines. I am married and have a lovely daughter. I finished my bachelor’s degree in Social work at Bicol University, Philippines. I envisioned myself as a successful teacher continually enriching knowledge and skills to young generations that will make a difference not only in their personal lives but to the world as a whole. It is for this reason, besides my passion for teaching and inculcating values to students entrusted in my care, to undertake my Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) training. Diploma in SEN and attended SEND workshops and training events here in UAE. I have been working as Teaching Assistant in various schools here in Dubai, and most recently as Learning Support Assistant  in Gems World Academy, Dubai where I spent six years caring for and supporting students with special needs, behavioural and academically challenged. I’m actively engaged in Holiday Camps as a coach in different sports, fun and games and arts and crafts. I believe education is the key to unlocking a world of opportunities, hope for the future and a world that values all people. My passion in inclusion is encouraging students to become confident and successful learners. I’m thrilled to join SISD to make more meaningful difference in someone’s life by sharing my skills and make a positive impact on my students, parents and my SISD family. My favourite activities are swimming, shopping and reading.
