MOTTO:

“If you can dream it, you can do it”. – Walt Disney

I am delighted to be joining the team at SISD for the upcoming academic year. Growing up in Ireland, I was immersed in traditional Irish song and dance. Having won All-Ireland singing and dancing titles from a young age, I then began to explore musical theatre where I held lead roles in musicals such as All Shook Up. Music aside, athletics and fitness are keen interests of mine. I love creating an environment where my students can explore their own passions. Graduating from Trinity College Dublin with the Vere Foster Award for receiving the highest grade of my entire cohort on Teaching Practice has allowed me to work in a variety of schools. I have been teaching in Dubai for five years now. In that time, I’ve worked in various roles including Head of House, Head of Year and Head of Department for Mathematics. Students and teachers in Dubai have a unique opportunity in such an international and diverse context. I believe at the core of the education we provide here is developing international mindedness amongst our students so that they are ready for the ever-changing world awaiting them. I look forward to being a part of this exciting journey.
