Despite having Portuguese ancestry, I was born and raised in the United Kingdom where I studied Linguistics at the University of Manchester. Before diving into my teaching qualification, I decided to gain experience in investment banking and finance in the City of London where I gained a range of skills.
After teaching in the UK for three years, I decided to relocate to Abu Dhabi where I taught in schools for 5 years, which provided an exciting opportunity to excel my professional development in an international setting.
Since moving to Dubai, I feel privileged to be working at SISD, because I believe their values and vision reflect my teaching style.
I strive in building strong relationships with my students so they feel safe, happy and comfortable in their learning environment. Additionally, I always aim to challenge students in all areas to allow them to perfect their strengths and develop any weaknesses.
I have interests in sports; particularly athletics as I used to compete for the county of Essex in the UK. I also enjoy travelling, reading and scuba diving.
