KHDA Inspection Report

We are proud to have received the rating of GOOD in our last inspection in 2023.

Our school was graded ‘GOOD’, with significant ‘VERY GOOD’ and “OUTSTANDING” aspects highlighted by the inspectorate. These included attainment and progress in mathematics, learning skills, student’s personal and social development, innovation skills, curriculum design and child protection and safeguarding.

Students’ attainment is leading to high performance in MYP e-assessments and DP examinations, with a number of students being awarded bilingual International Baccalaureate (IB) diplomas. Students have a strong sense of personal responsibility and show independence of mind from an early age. They display maturity and positive attitudes to learning, which are reflected in their behaviour.

SISD was ranked as one of the world’s Top 100 private schools in the latest Spears Schools Index, in conjunction with Carfax Education. This list also ranked us among the Top 10 private schools in the UAE.

Awarded for our continuing focus on Sustainability and green initiatives across the school, over the last few years. Eco-Schools is the largest educational programme on Planet Earth, implemented in 70 countries, involving 56,000 schools, engaging 1.4 million teachers and 19.4 million students.

SISD was awarded the Philanthropic School Award for its participation to fundraising campaigns to help provide children and young people in developing countries access to education.

Public Health & Safety Standards Award

SISD is a recipient of the award: “Public Health & Safety Standards 2018”. The Dubai Municipality Health and Safety department inspected 25 schools, tracking building compliance, water quality and water systems, indoor air quality, swimming pool safety, elevator safety, air-conditioning systems, emergency exits, and firefighting systems, all in the name of ensuring the safety of public buildings in the city. Our school received a certificate of appreciation for its outstanding facilities

DEWA, May 2018

Conservation Award

In May 2018, SISD was awarded the DEWA Conservation award, in the category “Education establishment that implements Energy Efficacy Technologies”. This was achieved through compliance with the Swiss Minergie ecolabel, as well as implementation of Smixin water-saving hand-washing systems, which illustrate our efforts to conserve energy and water in school operations.

Happy Healthy School Community Award

Swiss International Scientific School received the award for their school-wide initiatives aimed at improving healthy eating, active living and positive environment. From soft seating in classrooms to creating an organic garden, the school has developed a well-rounded plan for inspiring wellness.
