AIS Athletics are thrilled to announce a FREE two-week athletics camp for SISD students who were part of a DASSA school team this year!

Our Local and International Inquirers! Reflecting on our schools trips from this year, our students have enjoyed an array of excursions and adventures.
From exploring sustainability at EXPO to skiing the slopes in Verbier, diving into team building at Ecoventure, competing in the World School Games in London, experiencing the vibrant cultures of Kenya and Sri Lanka, and enjoying play-based learning at Oli Oli – just to name a few! These trips highlight the importance of out-of-classroom learning, encouraging growth, curiosity, and global understanding.

As the school year draws to a close and our campus now falls silent, it’s time to acknowledge the efforts of those who make everything possible behind the scenes. Our dedicated facilities team, security personnel, maintenance and cleaning teams are the champions who will be working tirelessly this summer to ensure our school is in perfect shape.
The team will be hard at work within our school - creating new learning areas and upgrading playgrounds to setting up a brand-new Sixth Form centre, their commitment and hard work will set the stage for an amazing new academic year ahead.

Yesterday, we celebrated the culmination of creativity and critical thinking at our Grade 11 IBDP and IBCP students` final TOK & Personal Project Exhibition. This event showcases their exploration of knowledge questions, critical thinking skills, and reflections on real-life and academic challenges.
The exhibition is also an opportunity for students to demonstrate their intellectual curiosity, analytical abilities, and engagement with the core principles of the IB curriculum.

Today we honoured our outstanding students with awards for each grade and subject, recognizing those who best represent our BEST values, and gave special commendations for pastoral, boarding achievements, and the Head of Secondary`s exceptional recognition. This week, parents had the opportunity to observe students engaging in a diverse array of activities, aimed at honing their skills and abilities, as part of our ASA Open Week. From ballet and tennis to karate and rollerblading, not to mention swimming and basketball, our young learners showed tremendous growth and enthusiasm!

Friday marked one of our favourite events here at SISD: the Grade 5 Promotion! We were treated to musical performances from our talented students in French, German, and English. And a special surprise – a song from Grade 5 Teacher Mr. De Leeuw!

This week, our talented Grade 6 students delivered a remarkable performance of "Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten" as part of their interdisciplinary unit combining Music and German Language and Literature. The event showcased their hard work and creativity, bringing the timeless tale of friendship, resilience, and teamwork to life with captivating acting and musical integration. Congratulations to all the students and teachers for their outstanding performance and dedication! 🎭🎶

A very exciting development opportunity for our Science Lead, Mrs Millett, recently as she participated in the Nord Anglia MIT collaboration in Boston. Victoria had the privilege of visiting Neurology labs, exploring the MIT museum, engaging in interactive bacterial photography labs, and attending guest lectures from MIT Professor, Faez Ahmed, on machine learning and AI in humans, as well as insights from NASA astronaut Professor Jeffrey Hoffman. This experience provided a perfect platform for networking with fellow scientists across the NAE group. This was also an opportunity for Mrs Millett to find out how we can use the MIT collaboration to promote more student-led learning within our classrooms, support interdisciplinary learning across multiple subjects and instil the love of learning that comes from investigations within the STEAM subjects.

A celebration of all things STEAM yesterday, as our Grade 6 students completed their Interdisciplinary unit, with an exhibition of their work focused on Science, Design, Maths and Visual Arts. The students had been tasked with investigating sustainability and how to future-proof the environment, and the results included biodiversity solutions, urban farms, and vertical farming. #IBSchool #BilingualSchool #BoardingSchool #Grade6 #STEAM
Our Secondary Most Able, Gifted & Talented (MAG&T) students showcased their skills at the Dubai Young Mastermind Competition held at English College last week.
They competed in multiple quiz rounds against peers from other schools, and our talented team proudly secured third place overall!
Our Primary Art Exhibition is officially open! Throughout the year, our talented Primary students have poured their creativity into their Art classes, and their incredible work is now showcased on the Second Floor of the Parent Cafe - all parents are welcome to view.
