BOARDING TUTOR
MOTTO:

“A life spent helping others is a life filled with purpose”

I am a middle child in a family with four children, two older brothers and one younger sister. I went to primary school in my local village called Bennettsbridge where I met some of my best friends even to this day. I began secondary school when I was 12 years old in a school called St. Kieran’s college. This school is a famous school and is renowned for being one of the best schools in Ireland for the Irish sport of hurling. I did my third level education in Dublin City university. I studied here for four years and obtained my teaching degree in mathematics and physical education. I am a very sporty person. My main sports would be hurling, soccer and golf but enjoy many others. My main reason for becoming a teacher is because I loved school myself and looked up to many of my teachers. I felt it was something I could do also and get a great sense of achievement out of it. I am joining SISD as I have heard terrific things about the school and admire the approach taken with students which is getting the best out of everyone and preparing them for adult life.
