A celebration of all things STEAM yesterday, as our Grade 6 students completed their Interdisciplinary unit, with an exhibition of their work focused on Science, Design, Maths and Visual Arts. The students had been tasked with investigating sustainability and how to future-proof the environment, and the results included biodiversity solutions, urban farms, and vertical farming. #IBSchool #BilingualSchool #BoardingSchool #Grade6 #STEAM
Our Secondary Most Able, Gifted & Talented (MAG&T) students showcased their skills at the Dubai Young Mastermind Competition held at English College last week.
They competed in multiple quiz rounds against peers from other schools, and our talented team proudly secured third place overall!
Our Primary Art Exhibition is officially open! Throughout the year, our talented Primary students have poured their creativity into their Art classes, and their incredible work is now showcased on the Second Floor of the Parent Cafe - all parents are welcome to view.

The culmination of the IB PYP - our much-awaited Grade 5 PYP Exhibition!
As part of their demonstration of skills and learning, Grade 5 students focus on a topic of their choice to create engaging projects, which they then share with their peers and parents.
This year’s exhibition showcased an impressive range of subjects including girls’ education, fashion AI, space exploration, nutrition, and the impact of microplastics on our environment.
Students also had the opportunity to present their TedTalks in front of their parents today, making the event even more memorable and inspiring.
We are incredibly proud of our young scholars for their dedication and creativity!

To our parents who meticulously orchestrated the vision and managed all the logistics - thank you!
Every element of tonight’s fun-filled evening was made possible because of amazing teamwork. Students, student leaders, parents, the G5 team and Primary leaders came together in celebration of our amazing Grade 5 students who impressed us all again today with their Personal Projects and presentations. What a superb group of students they are!
A fantastic opportunity for two of our Secondary students this week, as they headed to Houston to participate in the Nord Anglia UNICEF summit. Students from across the globe came together to discuss topics such as the power of data on measuring Sustainable Development Goals, workshops on how to enhance cross-cultural communication skills, and an enjoyable trip to the Museum of Natural Sciences in Houston.
The students shared the social, educational and climate initiatives they all undertake in their respective schools, and as the finale they presented their own ideas in the form of capstone projects - proposing solutions to problem statements related to humanitarian, climate, education or health and wellbeing. An inspirational event - thank you to the @bish.houston and @villagevikings for hosting us so brilliantly.

Students from Grades 3,4 & 5 have been practicing and challenging themselves with math and word problems in preparation for the event today, and the results paid off! The SISD team secured a second place win, out of the 8 teams participating.

On Thursday morning, we hosted our Term 3 Sports Celebration awards to recognise our primary football, aquathon, basketball, golf and swimming teams for their hard work this year.
Special congratulations to our Coaches Award and MVP award recipients and our U8 Boys Football Team for being our Team of the Year!
In anticipation of Eid Al-Adha this weekend, our school marked the occasion with a display in the Primary Atrium and a dedicated assembly for our Grade 4 students.
Eid al-Adha, known as the `Festival of Sacrifice,` is a time for reflection, charity, and community. Our assembly celebrated these values, bringing our students together to learn about this special occasion and test their knowledge with a quiz.
Yesterday morning marked our Secondary Term 3 Sports celebration.
We celebrated the exceptional dedication our football, basketball, aquathon, golf, sailing, swimming teams have shown and awarded a Coaches Award and Most Valuable Player (MVP) for each team.

Our KG1 stars shined bright at their end-of-term performance today! Before a packed crowd, they lit up the stage with charming medleys of French, German, and English songs and dances. The grand finale of "Wave Your Flag" had everyone singing along - very proud moment 👏👏

Congratulations are in order for our Secondary students this week who received awards from the recent Ei Asset Search programme. This programme identifies the top 2% gifted students globally and gives them a unique opportunity to attend challenging and fun courses at leading universities around the world, including John Hopkins and Berkeley. Our winning students, who achieved a range of Gold and Silver Scholar awards, were presented with the certificates from Ms Angela this week. Congratulations to Ines, Shad, Nelson, Arnold, Kirill, Yahn and Lily.
